Why does Physical Education matter?

While you’re probably aware of the physical benefits of exercise and activity, they also go a long way toward improving overall cognition and keeping your brain healthy. Over a dozen studies have shown that students who exercise more score higher on math, language, and memory tests.

How has the pandemic affected Physical Education?

Over the last few months of the 2019-2020 school year, most students stayed home instead of attending school and did not experience physical education class or structured recess. These are essential in ensuring children achieve the recommended 60 minutes of physical activity each day.
